Although he wouldnt create more than a few movie soundtracks, Miles Davis music was used in dozens of films. This 2-CD set compiles Miles only two early soundtracks, those of Louis Malles 1958 film “Ascenseur pour lchafaud” and the 1959 TV film “The Sound of Miles Davis” (which presented him playing with his quintet and with the Gil Evans Orchestra), along with the trumpeters recordings that were used in various different films, among them his recent biopic “Miles Ahead”.
