The gala concert was a fundraiser for Swami Satchidanandas Integral Yoga Institute, and was one of two halves with the first two transcendental tunes by Alice taken from the album she had just released on Impulse! and then two explosive tunes by her late husband John Coltrane.
A triple bill placing her in the company of Laura Nyro and The Rascals
Concert produced by Sid Bernstein, who promoted the first Beatles concert in the US
Recorded in quadraphonic and decoded to stereo for this release, mastered/cut by Kevin Reeves.
